Liliane Guerlou-Desmourges

Liliane Guerlou-Demourgues, professor at Bordeaux-INP, is a professor of Bordeaux INP and senior researcher in ICMCB (Institut de Chimie et de la Matière Condensée), Bordeaux (CNRS, UMR5026). She was previously coordinator of SupECCO project “Supercapacitor Electrodes based on Conductive Cobalt Oxides” (ANR-Stock-E 2012) and involved in several ANR projects.

Her main research activities are on the synthesis (by ceramic method, chimie douce and precipitation) of nickel, cobalt and manganese hydroxides / oxyhydroxides / oxides with a focus on positive electrode materials for alkaline batteries (active material and conductive additive). Her expertise is on pillared layered double hydroxides synthesized by chimie douce (intercalation, exchange, redox processes), cobalt oxides and mixed manganese / cobalt nanocomposites for supercapacitors. 2 patents and 47 publications

Sylvain Brimault (zsw)

Dr. Sylvain Brimaud is a staff scientist at the ZSW since March 2018. He obtained his PhD at the University of Poitiers (Laboratory of Electrochemistry, Prof. C. Coutanceau) in 2008, focusing on electrode material preparation and the probing of their electrochemical properties and advanced X-Ray and microscopy techniques. He then moved to the Institute of Surface Chemistry and Catalysis (Ulm University, Prof. R.J. Behm) for 9 years focusing on the fundamentals electrode reactions for electrocatalytic conversion on model bimetallic electrodes (STM, in situ IR, DEMS, flow cells), where he led a small research team of PhD students. His research works focus on the establishment of relationships between structural characteristics and electrochemical properties at the atomic scale level, in combination with theory. He recently re-oriented his research works on the properties MnO2-based electrodes for electrochemical energy storage and conversion, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy for the characterization of oxides (papers under preparation). He authored 26 publications in peer-reviewed journals and gave a number of communications at international conferences. 900+ citations (h-index: 15).

valery Cervantes (LiTen)

Dr Valery Cervantes is a research engineer at CEA-LITEN and was project leader of the entire cooperation between CEA and the car manufacturer Renault (since 2011 for a 5-year cooperation dealing with electric mobility). He was formerly Innovation and Public Affairs director at Irisbus-Iveco, member of the board for 5 years, and vice president of the Lyon Urban Truck and Bus Cluster.

For 5 years, Valery has been in charge of an engineering department at Irisbus Iveco dealing with the development of components and materials (driveline, drivetrain, axles, HVAC, superstructure calculation and material), implemented in France, Spain, Italy and Czech Republic. He has been vehicle architect for 5 years. Valéry graduated from the French engineering school Ecole Centrale de Paris.

Valéry Cervantès coordinates the ESPRIT Project in terms of strategy and scientific and technical work. He is the project director. He is coordinator of various R&D projects for CEA-LITEN.

He is President of METACAR TRANSPORT SYSTEMS.
